Pediatric allergic gastrointestinal disorders are solved by team work of the pediatric allergy, nutrition and gastroenterology teams altogether.

Functional gastrointestinal disorders such as constipation and abdominal pain and other disorders such as chronic diarrhea, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal polyps, gastroesophageal reflux, gastritis and duodenal ulcer are in the scope of our medical expertise.

In our hospitals, interventional procedures such as liver biopsy, upper GIS endoscopy, colonoscopy, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy, polypectomy, variceal banding can be performed by skilled pediatric gastroenterologists.

We serve for the diagnosis and treatment of rare genetic or acquired liver diseases beginning from the newborn period. Many pediatric disorders of the liver can be treated if they are diagnosed early. Nevertheless some liver patients require liver transplantation in a timely manner. We follow up the liver patients in terms of severe complications that indicate need for liver transplantation. Liver transplantation decision is made by consulting our transplantation surgery team. After the surgery, regular close follow up visits are made by our surgeons and pediatric gastroenterology and other pediatrics departments. Our department has an excellent experience on pediatric liver transplantation for more than 25 years with a large scale of pediatric patient numbers.
