LARYNGEAL HAEMANGIOMAS

There may be laryngeal haemangiomas without any other haemangiomas

located in the other body sites. But they may accompany with small (1-

1,5 cm) or extended haemangiomas of cervical, lower face and cheek. For

these children, the orifice between vocal cords are a few milimeters. They

may lead to breathing problems in this site by narrowing this orifice. The

diagnosis is a little bit difficult if there is no sign in the skin. They are cli-

nically indistinguishable from other causes of hoarseness and dyspnea. It

is diagnosed by examination of vocal cords by ear nose throat specialists.

The patient has red lines and spots in his face. It became prominent when he

was 15 days-old. The swelling from the skin was not particular. There was no

bleeding and hoarseness. He is admitted to dermatologists and other special-

ists in Antalya. No treatment was started. The family learned about our treatment

through internet and reached us. The family shared the serial photographs of the

patient from birth, during and after treatment. Result of early and success-

ful and treatment of segmental haemangioma is seen in this case.
