HAEMANGIOMAS AROUD
THE EYE
The most frequent locations are the eye lids. They
have high potential for haemangiomas to grow up.
If they closes the eye and inhibit vision, they should
be treated urgently. If it inhibits vision more than
one month, there will be permanent vision prob-
lems. They usually admit to ophtalmologists.

In this child case, there was a slight redness in his
right upper eye lid at birth. This had become cherry
red and swollen after 3 months. There was no problem in
vision. The treatment was very short. He had treatment
for three months. There was only small erythema left after
the treatment was stopped. The treatment was not
started again with the consent of the family.
