Frequently located on head and neck region, hemangiomas can be dangerous depending on the location and the size.
Hemangiomas located on eyelids or peripherally hindering vision, occluding ear canal, located on lips and mouth hinder-
ing nutrition, located on vocal cords creating a risk of asphyxiation, located on genital organs or hip regions creating a
risk of inflammation and hemorrhage should be treated immediately.
Before the year of 2009, only hemangiomas that threaten life or an organ function were treated because of the low
prospects of treatment methods used, the frequency of early and late side effects. The hemangiomas located on face or
other regions were not supplied with treatment. In significant portion of those patients, the regressing hemangiomas
used to leave serious scars creating esthetical defects similar to burn scars.
After the year of 2009, the treatment of infancy hemangiomas has changed. The therapeutic effect on hemangiomas of
the medication named PROPRANALOL which has been used in medicine for various diseases; notably hypertension and
certain cardiac diseases for 40 years, has come out accidentally. A great number of scientific articles have been published
