The structure which had been established as ‘Turkish Transplantation and Burn Treatment Foundation’ in September 4th1980, by
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Haberal has now been transformed into an academic institution with a university and ten different hospitals
at a geographical area of 650.000 km2. Experience of the specialists getting together with modern equipments which has been
developed with the highlight of medical and technological development in the world, is being served at different points of Turkey.
In the way of science which has been illuminated by numerous initiatives that had been signed by our founder president Dr.
Haberal, a new modality has been introduced to the treatment of ‘Infantile Haemangiomas’. More than 500 patients had
been treated successfully in our institution during last 3.5 years with our treatment protocol which is different from treatment
modalities in Turkey and the whole world as well. Besides our pediatric oncology departments operating in Adana and Ankara, we
are planning to treat patients with haemangioma in Alanya, Istanbul, Konya, and Izmir. After 35 years of experience, The Group
of Baskent University Hospitals will continue to give medical service to our community with preserved leadership in health sector.
Extraordinary institutions have been created by extraordinary people. We and our patients have special thanks and gratitude for
opportunities that have been given to us in Baskent University which has been established and worked out by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Haberal.
